Howdy ya'll, I'm April! For over a decade, I’ve dedicated my life to education — serving on the campus, district, and national levels, helping families, educators, and leaders reimagine what learning can look like when it’s rooted in purpose. With a strong foundation in adult education theory and instructional design, I’ve witnessed firsthand the power of equipping parents and educators with the right tools, encouragement, and understanding.

But my greatest classroom isn’t in a school building — it’s in my home. I’m a faith-based wife and mother of six, and like many parents, I once found myself at a crossroads. Despite years of experience in the education system, I faced real challenges when I made the decision to transition my high schooler from public school to homeschooling.

What I discovered during that journey is that even with an educational background, homeschooling comes with its own unique obstacles — from finding the right curriculum to balancing structure, faith, and family life. Those challenges became the spark that ignited my mission and the foundation of Forge Forward Homeschooling Solutions.

Forge Forward was built to empower families to lead with confidence, to restore joy in learning, and to help parents see themselves as capable educators. It’s more than a business — it’s a calling. Every workshop, resource, and partnership reflects my belief that when families are equipped, students thrive and communities grow stronger.
